A short fly fishing documentary focusing on fishing the stone fly hatch in the Black Canyon on the Gunnison River and the conservation threats facing this unique eco-system. Length : 30 min. The Hatch premiered at the Telluride Mountain Film Festival in 2005 and toured the US and internationally as part of the Best of Telluride Mountain Film Tour. The film also showed at The Vail Symposium, The NYC Gotham Shorts Festival (winner Best Documentary), and the Banff Mountain Film Festival. About the Film Makers Founded in 2005, high in the Southern Rockies of Colorado, Felt Soul Media combines the vision of Travis Rummel and Ben Knight. Felt Soul unites our passions for wild places, our love of fly fishing, and our conservation ethic. We create avant-garde style documentaries with an aesthetic approach to capture the inherent beauty of fly fishing and the amazing confines that the sport takes place in.
